Joseph Craig Eggers, a resident of Dothan, AL passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was 55.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 am in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Tew. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 on the day of the service.
Craig was born on November 28, 1965 to the late Orlin and Glynda Eggers in Dothan, AL. He was a graduate of Northview High School, Class of 1984. After high school, Craig went into sales and later found his passion, photography. He owned his own portrait studio and would photograph for several years. Craig was a people person who loved spending time with his family and could make anyone smile. He loved the Smokey Mountains and bought a pizza restaurant in Dillard, GA where he loved cooking, eating and talking to anyone who would listen. Craig and his wife enjoyed panning for gold.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jeff Eggers.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Wendy Eggers; his daughters, Anna (Marisa Sitz) Eggers and Jacie Eggers; his brother, Patrick Mark Eggers; his father and mother-in-law, Aubrey and Edna Tomlin; his niece, Alyse Eggers (Mitch) Murkerson; his brother-in-law, Aubrey (Donnie) Tomlin; his nieces and nephews, Haleigh Tomlin, Quincy Tomlin and Shyanne Crowder; his great nieces and nephews, Kaeden Murkerson and Rylee Murkerson; and his furry companions, Charlie, Aaron and Hermione.
