PENSACOLA, FLORIDA. . .Joseph Curtis “Joey” Davis, a resident of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Abbeville, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in Pensacola. He was 43.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2023, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Safe Haven Ark (S.H.A.R.K.), P.O. Box 126, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Joey Davis was born and reared in Abbeville and was a graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy. He attended Wallace College Sparks Campus where he received an Associates Degree in Computer Science. Joey was employed by Woodlands Medical Specialists in Pensacola, Florida as a Computer Technician. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Abbeville. Joey formerly lived in Dothan before moving to Pensacola in 2013. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Ann Davis and his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Lucy Kirkland Blankenship.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Avery Davis, Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Jeannie Blankenship Armstrong, Abbeville; his father, William Frank “Billy” Davis, Abbeville; aunts, Sara Roland and Polly Covington and a special adopted aunt, Sonia Bush.
