Mr. Joseph Haywood Danley, 81, of Jack, AL, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Victoria Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Marler, Bro. Mike Holland and Rev. Chris Adams officiating. Interment will be at Victoria Community Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 9 am until service time at the church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Victoria Community Cemetery, c/o Wilson Mobley, 13606 Hwy 125, Jack, AL 36346 or to a charity of choice.
Joseph served four years in the Navy Seabees during the Korean Conflict. He worked 10 years with the International Mineral & Chemical Corp. in Mulberry, FL, before moving to Jack, AL, where he farmed, raised poultry, cattle, hogs and Arabian horses. He retired with 20 years as the Rural Letter Carrier from the Jack Post Office.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Josie Chandler Danley, brothers, Willie Ferrell Danley, James Comer Danley and Junior Danley.
Mr. Danley is survived by his wife of 60 years, Muriel Carlson Danley; daughter, Dawn Kelley (Ronnie); son, Mark Danley (Virginia); four grandchildren, Jessica Turberville (Shawn), Andrew Kelley (Danielle), Heather Voss (Jimmy) and Jason Danley; six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Inez Danley; several nieces and nephews also survive.
