JR Poppell, 67, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1954, to the late Abraham Lincoln Poppell, Sr., and Imogene (Sanders) Poppell.

A graveside service will be 11:30 AM, Friday, June 10, 2022 at Love Hill Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
