DOTHAN, AL… Judith Annette Spears, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away early Friday morning, December 15, 2023, at her home. She was 79.

          Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverend Randy Hunt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mrs. Spears was born in the Lowery Community, near Samson, Alabama, to the late Earnest Leamon Weeks and Mary Elizabeth Sumblin Weeks. She was a 1963 graduate of Kinston High School. She later graduated from Riley Business College. She owned and operated a clothing boutique called Galleria, in Samson, Alabama. She also worked with W.W. Gregory Company for several years.

          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Spears; her brothers, Bill Weeks and Charles Weeks; and her brother-in-law, Glen McCollough.

          Leaving to cherish her memories is her daughter, Wendi Spears Evans (Joey); her son, Jeffrey Spears (Staci); her sister, Louise McCollough; her sisters-in-law, Sybal Weeks and Pat Weeks; her grandchildren, Madison Evans, Jordan Evans, Emily Bolden (James), Elizabeth Evans, Mary Ann Yates (Joe), and Andrew Ellis; her great-grandchildren, Scarlett Yates, Lillian Yates, and Ivy Yates; and several nieces and nephews.
