Judy was born January 12, 1944 in Watertown, South Dakota to Harold and Carol Warner. She graduated from Platte High School in 1962 and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota in Education in 1966. Following graduation, she began her teaching career in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Judy was united in marriage with Kent Kimball on July 23, 1966. The couple resided in Vermillion until Kent graduated and entered the Army. They moved to Enterprise, Alabama and have resided in this area since 1971. Judy taught piano and voice lessons for many years and also taught ESL/GED to soldiers and civilians for the Enterprise Junior College.
Very active in the church choir, Judy was a long term member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Enterprise. She volunteered for Music Education in church and various other educational activities with children.
A loving wife and mother, Judy is survived by her husband Kent; children Morgan Kimball of Phenix City, Alabama, and Ann Smith and son-in-law Todd of Elizabethtown Kentucky. She adored her grandson Barrett.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Judy gave generously throughout the years to various charities. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the SOS Animal Shelter, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
