AUBURN, ALABAMA. . .Judy Hawkins Reeves, a resident of Lake Harding, died early Sunday morning, June 2, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 75.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in the Auburn Memorial Park, Auburn, Alabama with Reverend Lynn Nesbitt officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chattahoochee Humane Society, 3265 Fairfax Bypass, Valley, AL 36854.
Judy Reeves was born and reared in Auburn, Alabama, daughter of the late Henry Clift Hawkins, Jr. and Julia Fuller Hawkins. She was a 1962 graduate of Auburn High School. Judy lived in Troy thirty years before moving to Lake Harding in 2009. She served as a caregiver for several members of her family. Judy loved animals and volunteeredat the Troy Animal Clinic for several years. She enjoyed cooking and was a superb cook. After the death of her son, Charles Lambert, Judy was active in “Compassionate Friends”.
Surviving relatives include her husband, James E. “Jim” Reeves, Valley, AL; a sister, Peggy Brackett, Tallassee, AL; three brothers, Henry C. Hawkins, III (Sharon), Jimmy Hawkins (Kris), all of Waverly, AL; and D. Grady Hawkins; sisters-in-law, Julie Reeves (Jimmy Dunn), and Amy Reeves Powers (Dave); several cousins including, Ray Fuller (JoAnne) and Bill Fuller (Gail).
