DOTHAN. . .Judy West Field, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday night, August 24, 2024, in the Extendicare Health Center in Dothan. She was 81.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Kevin Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2431 W. Main Street, Suite 1102, Dothan, AL 36301.

            Judy Field was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Reverend Herbert Clark West, Sr. and Ruth Dill West. She was a graduate of the Houston County High School in Columbia, Alabama. Judy lived in Dothan most of her adult lifetime where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was retired from GTE in the Dothan office. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Mason Dillard Field, Jr. and a sister, Edna Ruth Hines.

            Surviving relatives include a step-son, Dr. Benjamin Field (Amanda), Dothan; a sister, Sylvia J. Clarke (Don), Marietta, GA; a brother, Clark West (brother-in-law, Elliott Mitchell), Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews, Shana Rowland (Mitch), Eufaula;  Heather Thomas (Michael), Birmingham; Elizabeth Clarke, Marietta, GA; Kevin Clarke, Tampa, FL; Natalie Worthan (Shannon); Charlottesville, VA; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.  

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Mitch Rowland, Will Blount, Young W. Folsom and Kevin Clarke.
