Julia Elizabeth Waters, 83, of Kissimmee, FL, entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, January 24, 2014.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Level Plains with Rev. Roger Stone and Rev. Hubert McWaters officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory.  Memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church of Level Plains Benevolent Fund, 8189 County Road 1, Enterprise, AL  36330.


Julia was born September 26, 1930, in Coffee Springs, AL, to James S. and Anna Williams.  She was a resident of Kissimmee, FL since 1964.  She was employed by Osceola County School Board for over 20 years, and retired in 1990.  She was a member of Neptune Road Baptist Church, Kissimmee, FL.


Julia loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family, passionately.  She loved experiencing the world in her many travels.  Her favorites were flying on the Concorde and exploring London and Scotland.


Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.  She was a fabulous Southern cook and there was always a hot meal at the Waters’ house.


“To my wife of 60 years, I love you and will miss you until I see you again…..Save me a place at The Table”, Max.


“To our mother and grandmother, you were the best there was.  Thank you for sharing your unconditional love with all of us.  Until we meet again, We Love You.”


P.S.  “Maybe you could give Heaven some cooking lessons before we get there!”


Julia is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Max E. Waters.  Also surviving are her daughter, Beverly Janzen (Lee), Orlando, FL; son, David Waters (Beth), St. Cloud, FL; granddaughter, Mendy Riddle (Troy), Foster, OK; grandsons, Connor Janzen, Orlando, FL, Tim and J Waters, St. Cloud, FL; great-granddaughter, Melany Julia Waters, St. Cloud, FL; brother, James S. Williams Jr., Leominster, MA; sister-in-law, Jlain Grice, Enterprise; and her numerous loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.


She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna, brothers, Exie, Buren and Ralph and sisters, Ruby, Jewel, Alpha and Ruth.
