JULIAETTE LISENBY GIVENS
MIDLAND CITY. . .Juliaette Lisenby Givens, a resident of County Road 14, Midland City, died Monday afternoon, March 12, 2012, at her home. She was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Jerry M. Dooling officiating. Burial will follow in the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvan Grove Methodist Cemetery Fund, c/o Dinah Woodham, 992 County Road 531, Midland City, AL. 36350.
Mrs. Givens was born and reared in the Midland City area, daughter of the late Grady Crawford Lisenby and Mary Inez Long Lisenby. She was a graduate of Midland City High School. Mrs. Givens lived in Jacksonville, Florida from 1970 until 1998 when she moved to the Sylvan Grove community of Dale County. She was a member of the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Givens was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lisenby.
Surviving relatives include her husband, J D Givens, Midland City; a daughter, Joyia Kelley and husband, Andy, and a son, Johnny Givens and wife, Judy, all of Jacksonville, Florida; a grandson, Andrew Grady Kelley; two sisters, Virginia Thompson and husband, Ray, Midland City; and Judy Dale Deese and husband, Michael, Headland.
Serving as active pallbearers will be John Leonard Hamm, Scott Deese, Jeff Davis, Kenny Long, Lafayette White and Damon Woodham.
