JULIANA MADDOX DESHAZO
HEADLAND, AL… Juliana Maddox DeShazo, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at a Dothan hospital. She was 62.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Stephanie Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. DeShazo was born in Dothan, Alabama to Cecelia Martin Maddox and the late James Arthur Maddox. She lived in the Headland, Alabama and the Dothan, Alabama areas her whole life. She was a 1979 graduate of Northview High School. She attended Wallace Community College and UAB Dental Hygienists School. She worked with the Emblom & Vaughn PC for several years.
Along with her father she was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Maddox.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, Eddy DeShazo; her sons, Adam Martin DeShazo (Amy) and Justin Tyler DeShazo (Lauren); her step-daughter, Krysti DeShazo Weisner (Josh); her mother, Cecelia Martin Maddox; her brothers, Rodney Maddox (Tammy) and Eddie Maddox (Debbie); her sisters-in-law, Sue Maddox and Margo Apida (Bob); her grandchildren Caroleine DeShazo, Gillian Weisner, Jaxton DeShazo, Jordan DeShazo, and Riley DeShazo; her several nieces and nephews; and her best friend Vickie Barnes Wells (Larry).
Serving as active pallbearers will be Robert Apida, Brandon Apida, Josh Weisner, Larry Wells, Daniel Wells, and Wesley Wells.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ryan Conner & Dr. Marvin Sexton and their caring staffs for the loving care they have shown Juliana over the several years she was in their care.
