Junior R. Miller, 87, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday night, November 26, 2017 at his residence.
Private graveside funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Hale officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Miller was born June 4, 1930 in Fairfax County, Virginia and lived most of his life in Ozark. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He later worked with DynCorp as a sheet metal mechanic for over 17 years before retiring. Mr. Miller enjoyed traveling and being with his family. He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
He is predeceased by his parents, William Howard Miller and Laura Mahaffey Miller, his wife, Jimmie Ruth Miller, a grandson, Chris Miller, a sister, Mary Krick and two brothers, Leonard Miller and Blane Miller.
Survivors include three sons, David (Susan) Miller, Robert (Vivian) Miller and Roger Miller (Patsy), all of Ozark; five grandchildren, Amy Harris (Joe) of Ashford, Stephanie Barrow (Jason) of Opp, Josh Miller (Caprice) of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Nathan Miller (Taylor) of Dothan and Bailey Miller of Atlanta, Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Anna Harris, Cheri Harris, Anna Clair Barrow, Mykayla Miller and Caleb Miller; two brothers, Ellsworth Miller (Evelyn), Earnest Miller (May); two sisters Madaline and Shirley; several nieces and nephews.
