SHORTERVILLE, AL… Justin Kyle Reynolds, a resident of Shorterville, Alabama, passed away Saturday night, November 13, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. He was 39.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. Burial will follow with Mr. Reynolds being carried by his beloved brothers and sisters of the Haleburg Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, on top of the firetruck, to the Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in his honor to the Haleburg Baptist Church, 1114 Main Street, Columbia, Alabama 36319 or to the Haleburg Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, 10361 George H. Grimsley Hwy, Columbia, Alabama 36319.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Blakely, Georgia, but lived most of his lifetime in the Shorterville and Haleburg, Alabama areas. He attended Abbeville High School. He was a member of the Haleburg Baptist Church. He was a very active member (call #422), of the Haleburg Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. He was known for having a big heart and always willing to give up his chair if someone walked into the room. Justin always made you feel at home and always offered you food while you were there, and said “if you leave here hungry it’s your own fault”. He was a passionate loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him.
Preceding Justin in death was his mother, Sarah Arlene Williams Whitehead.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Amanda Reynolds; his daughters, Avanna Reynolds and Emily Reynolds; his son, Bradley Reynolds; his father, Curtis Ray Reynolds; his step-father, David Whitehead; his sisters, Liza Reynolds, Anna Harris and Chrissy Fleming; his brothers, Joey Barfield and Dave Whitehead; several cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his son, Bradley Reynolds, and members of all Henry County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments.
