ABBEVILLE. . .Justin Phillip Watford, a resident of the Screamer Community of Henry County, died Monday morning, June 1, 2015, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on West Washington Street in Abbeville. He was 21.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, in the Judson Baptist Church with Reverend Brandon Turner and Reverend Gerald Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Judson Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals Army Fund, P.O. Box 9, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Justin Watford was a lifelong resident of the Screamer Community of Henry County. He was a 2012 graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy and attended Wallace Community College in Eufaula where he studied welding. Justin was a member of the Judson Baptist Church. He was employed with his father in the operation of Watford Enterprises as a fourth generation logger. Justin dearly loved his family and friends, welding, logging, and football. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Blake Spivey.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Niki Railey Watford (Allen Fleming), and Bob Watford (Melissa), a sister, Ashlyn Watford; four step-sisters, Morgan Bolt, Carolina Cheek, Allissa Fleming and Megan Fleming, all of Abbeville; grandparents, Sonja and Stanley Snell, Skipperville; Sam and Barbara Railey, Ozark; Jerry and Betty Watford; and Edwina Howerton, all of Abbeville; aunts and uncles, Mike and Becky Railey, Chris and Kim Railey, Cindy Watford, Barbara and Wayne Morrison, Jan and Gerald O’Steen; his girlfriend, Holly Hendrix; numerous cousins and friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Blythe Poston, Tyler Barron, Josey Green, Hovey Watford, Dillon Barron, David Barnes, Cody Watford, Zack Cooley and Jessie Ingram. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Abbeville Christian Academy Class of 2012.
