JW Chalker of Ozark passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Oakview Manor. He was 86 years of age.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 10, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jim Hill officiating and full military honors under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:45pm on Friday at the funeral home before the service.
Mr. Chalker was born February 15, 1928 in Coffee County, Alabama to Ewel and Ruby Harden Chalker. He served 22 years in the U.S. Army that included two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Chalker was a member at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Margaret Ann Ketcham Chalker; his brothers, William Maxie Chalker and John Chalker.
Mr. Chalker is survived by his daughter, Deborah Coleman (Mark) of Ozark; his sons, Bobby Chalker (Helen) of Slocomb and William Douglas Chalker of Crawfordville, FL; his sister, Ruby Pearl Phillips of Ozark; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin and Angie; also surviving is his great-granddaughter, Brittany and numerous nieces and nephews.
