NEWVILLE…Karen Joiner Bostick, a resident of Newville, died Wednesday morning, June 2, 2021 in Dothan. She was 57.


   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.Saturday, June 5, 2021, in the Wesley Chapel Community Church, near Echo, Alabama, with Reverend Mark Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell’s Crossroads Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.


   Karen was born and reared in Birmingham, Alabama and lived most of her adult life in Newville, Alabama. She received a nursing degree from Wallace Community College and was formerly employed by Flowers Hospital and Noland Hospital in Dothan as a Registered Nurse. Karen was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Emmanuel Bostick, her father, Kenneth Auston Joiner, Sr., and her brother, Kenneth Auston Joiner, Jr.


   Surviving relatives include her fiancé, Chris Wood; her daughter, Rebecca Irene Lordi (Tom), Newville; two sons, Kenneth Matthew Bostick (Melissa Beck, fiancé), Headland; and William Andrew Joiner (Naphy), Campbell, CA; her mother, Mary Kathryn Edwards Joiner, Echo Community; her sister, Kathy Joiner, Echo Community; two grandchildren, Lilah Lordi and Asher Joiner.
