Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 5, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, AL. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10-11 am.

Karen Lucille Richins Brazzelle, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at a local hospital. She was 56 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 5, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, AL. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10-11 am.
Karen was born on February 7, 1966 in Ft. Eustis, Virginia, moved to Ft. Rucker and to Idaho before returning back to Alabama where she resided in her earlier years. She was a 1984 graduate of Northview High School and Wallace Community College where she earned a degree in nursing. Karen worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Southeast Health Medical Center until she happily retired to spend more time with her precious grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and traveling to the beach. Karen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Arline Meservy.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Brazzelle; her children, Leighann (Tim) Rinehart, Rachel (Tuck) Godwin, Garrett (Lacee) Brazzelle, and Steven (Leah) Brazzelle; her two grandchildren, Terra Rinehart and Tucker Godwin; her father, Earl (Susan) Richins; her step-father, Royal Meservy; her brother, Roy Richins; her sisters, Jamie (Cory) Morse and Jennifer (Merlyn) Borland; several nieces and nephews; mother and father in law, Bobby and Carolyn Brazzelle; and brother in law, Bo Brazzelle.
