Katherine A. Moore, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in a local hospital due to complications from COVID. She was 62 years old.


A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.


Kathy was born on July 7, 1959 to Cecil and Eva White Anderson. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Alabama Football fan and when it was not football season, she enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing bingo. She loved to watch the cars race at Talladega and traveling, Niagara Falls was one of her favorite places.


Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Anderson and by her sister, Patricia Vaughn.


Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Johnny Moore; her son, John Moore; her daughter, Amy (Josh) Cole; her seven grandchildren, Jordan (Ally) Shiver, Haleigh Shiver, Paine Cole, Alli Cole, Gavin Moore, Makenna Heath, and Ryleigh Moore; her two great grandchildren, Kailyn Hord and a baby girl, due in November, Clara Grace Shiver; her mother, Eva Dell White; her brother, Junior (Lorraine) Anderson; her sisters, Theresa (Tim) Burch and Shelby (Dennis) Curry; her fur babies, Layla and Bama; and a host of special friends she held dear in her heart who will miss her terribly.
