KATHERINE THARP
HEADLAND…Katherine Tharp, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021, at her home. She was 62.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10. 2021, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Walter Sims officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 Until 2:00 P.M. before the services.
The family is accepting flowers or contributions to any charity in Mrs. Tharp’s honor.
Mrs. Tharp was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Clarence Battles and Georgia Mae White Jones. She was raised by her mother and her step-father, Earnest Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Headland, Alabama. She was a 1977 graduate of Dothan High School. She attended Wallace Community College. She worked for several years with Linda Robinson Tax & Accounting. She is a member of the Platinum Club. She is also a member of the Sweet Bethel Baptist Church in Kinsey, Alabama.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Tharp was also preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Tharp.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, Byron Tharp and Ian Tharp, both of Headland, AL; her brothers, Willie White (Tara) and Chris White, both of Dothan, Alabama; her best friends, Linda Robinson and Hattie Lowe; and a host of other friends.
