Kathleen McCloud Peoples, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 82 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Willie Barkeley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30pm -7pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home.
Kathleen was born on February 14, 1939 in Dothan, Alabama. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Carrie Carolyn and Errenous Earl McCloud. She received her education in the Dothan Public School System, and proudly earned her GED later in life. Kathleen was a selfless woman who loved and adored her family. She always put God first in everything she did.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her grandson, William Lamar Crittenden and her two sisters, Carrie Pearl Alston and Geraldine Cameron.
Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Belinda Lewis Robinson and Peggy Lewis Barnes both of Dothan; her son, Ret. Colonel Winston Ed Lewis (Sherri) of Ft. Washington, MD; her bonus son, Jonatha Shipman her nine grandchildren, Kathleen (Darrell) Heard, Michelle (Harry) Hall, Shamar Moore, Latricia (Spurgeon) Bivins, Neysa Barnes, Eugene (Kanitka) Barnes, Tricia Barnes, Jawanna Billings, and Morgan Lewis; her 11 great-grandchildren; her 11 great great-grandchildren; her siblings, Rosa (Floyd) Baxter, Errenous (Patricia) McCloud, Jr., and Vann (Jacqueline) McCloud; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and 2 very dear and special friends T. W. McCloud and Peggy Rowe also survive.
