HEADLAND. . .Kathleen Trammell Anderson, a former resident of Headland, died early Saturday morning, August 3, 2024, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility. She was 89.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, August 4, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jody Haddan officiating. Burial will follow in the Tolbert Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Kathleen Anderson was born and reared in Henry County, daughter of the late Porter Alexander Trammell and Cassie Cora Wood Trammell. She lived many years in Muncie, Indiana before returning to Headland thirty years ago. Ms. Anderson was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. She was a member of Tolbert Baptist Church. Ms. Anderson was preceded in death by a son, Eddy Anderson, two sisters, Molly Trammell and Hattie Trammell and seven brothers, Bo Trammell, Jim Trammell, Paul Trammell, Fernie Trammell, Charlie Trammell, Bill Trammell and Snookie Trammell.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Jewel Taylor, Headland; and Mauline Brackin (Deuel), Eufaula; a brother, Sam Trammell, Brown’s Crossroads Community; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
