Kathryn Beverly Walsh, of Enterprise, Alabama and Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on Friday, May 11th in San Antonio, Texas.  Her funeral services will be held at Saint John Catholic Church in Enterprise, Alabama at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 18th.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.

Beverly was born on March 20, 1925 in Providence, Rhode Island to Francis and Maybelle Goodwin.  She fell in love and married Chief Warrant Officer Francis Charles Walsh in 1945.  She was a proud military spouse.  Together, they traveled the world and spoke of memories they shared everywhere from Germany, Hawaii, England, and Panama City Beach.  Beverly was even one of the first military spouses allowed into Japan after World War II.  Frank and Beverly raised three wonderful children, Frank, Cindy and Kathy.

Eventually, Frank and Beverly settled in Enterprise, Alabama and called it home for 40 years.  They were both very active in their church, Saint John Catholic Church.  Beverly loved to play bridge, read, drink mimosas, travel and spend time with her family.

She is remembered for many things, most importantly for the fierce love she had for her family. She was kind, caring and compassionate.  It was impossible not to love her.  In her later years, her sense of humor and spirited personality shone through and gave light to everyone she met.

Beverly is survived by all three of her children, Frank Walsh of San Francisco, California, Cindy Walsh George of Mobile, Alabama, and Kathy Walsh Horton of San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Ashley George, Heather George, Stephanie Horton, Kelsey Horton and Justin Horton; Henry Ling; Danry Ling; numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Pauline Walsh of Newport, Rhode Island.  Beverly joins her loving husband, Frank, in heaven.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, May 17th at Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, Alabama.
