Miss Kathy Elizabeth Hadley Major, 58 of Dothan, AL, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, after a brief illness at Flowers Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 30, 1963, to Cathy Baker and the late Evines Robert Hadley.


A Celebration of Life Service will be 6 PM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 3595 State Line Road, Cottonwood, AL.


Kathy attended James Madison High School where she received her high school diploma. She received her computer science degree from Riley College. She also received her Missionettes Leader Certificate at the Assemblies of God.


Kathy was a fun, free loving, spiritual woman who had the biggest heart. She worked as a CNA most of her life and enjoyed sitting with the elderly. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends, and her fur babies. In her spare time, she loved going to the beach, reading daily devotions, playing card/board games, dancing, watching Disney, throwing birthday parties, going to parks, studying the word of God, and helping anyone that crossed her path. Her greatest achievements were her children and her love for Christ.


She was preceded in death by her father, two grandchildren, nephew, Michael Wayne Jordan, great nephew Joshua Lee, and son in law Larry Dickerson and brother Robert Hadley.


She leaves to cherish her memories four children, Shannon Beach, Kisha Hadley (Tabitha), Amanda Dickerson, and her fur baby Ginger, mother Cathy Baker, sisters, Tonya Hadley, Diane Shirah, and Shelia (Homer) Spooner, brothers, Danny (Tracy) Burkett and Vashon Alexander, four grandchildren, Bryson Beach, Cadden Beach, Destanie Haywood, and Sarah Coleman, nieces, Dana Cook (Bradley) Deckard, and Chasity (Trevor) Jackson, nephew, Tim (Melanie) Spooner, great nephew, Tucker Jackson, and a host of aunts, uncle,  nieces, nephews,  cousins, and friends.
