Katie Estrada Vickers

Katie Estrada Vickers, a resident of Ozark, AL, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 29 years old.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Gilbert Memorial Park in Gilbert, Arizona.

Katie was born on September 13, 1991 in California. She went to college and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and was currently working on her BSN in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner. Katie had a big heart and loved her family more than anything. She especially loved being in the outdoors fishing, boating, and exploring new places. Katie enjoyed helping at Shady Grove Baptist Church #2 alongside her husband, Gamaska and church family.

Survivors include her loving husband, Gamaska Vickers; her children, Michael Estrada, Jacob Estrada, Ja’drian (Dominque) Vickers, Xalee Vickers, and Xoie Vickers; her parents, Jose and Maria Rodriguez; her siblings, Jimmy (Monique) Rodriguez and Wendy (Randy) Pozo; nieces and nephews, Christian, Aubrey, Kiara, and Levi; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Lula Vickers; and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
