His favorite past times growing up included watching tv, reading comic books or anything sci-fi related. Keith loved to walk around the Wiregrass Commons mall for hours. He will be fondly remembered for his love for reading and talking anyone into going with him to the bookstores. He loved to go to Water World in Dothan with family and friends and scare the daylights out of the life guards with his ability to hold his breathe under water long enough for them to think he was drowning therefore earning him the nickname of “aqua lung” from his baby brother, Kenneth. He always loved playing on the computer and sharing his love for Pokémon and Dungeons and Dragons with his nieces and nephews over the years. His favorite food was Chinese mei fun noodles.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest Ray Hathcock and Terry Wayne Hathcock; step-father, Lane V. Wilson.
He is survived by one sister, Deborah Darlene Adkison of Coffee Springs; three brothers, James Anthony (Tony) Hathcock (Robin) of Dearborn, MI, Kevin Allen Hathcock of Baton Rouge, LA and Kenneth Scott Hathcock (Kimberly) of Geneva; a number of special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and several online gaming friends who kept in contact with him over the years.
For over 13 years, he spent three days a week going to dialysis at DCI in Enterprise. A special thanks to the Doctors and Staff Members there for all their love, care and concerns for him for all these years. They made Keith enjoy his time there each day. He will be fondly remembered by them for his witty personality as he so enjoyed cutting up with them as they were like family to him.
