How do you put into words how much impact one single person made? Kelly Lynne Wolfe was more than just a person. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and even great grandmother. She was born to Martha Lynne (nee Davis) and Jimmie Dale Booth on July 25, 1964 in Lynnwood, California. Early in her life she moved to Bethalto, Illinois where she attended school and was raised alongside her sisters, Kristin, Rebecca, and Denise by Martha and her adopted father, John Leslie Lansdon. She had a brother, Jonathan Lansdon, who was born after she left home.
She married in the fall of 1983 and became a mother for the first time in May of 1984 when her daughter Alicia was born. She welcomed her second daughter, Danielle in December of 1985. Over the years most of her time was devoted to raising her daughters but in her spare time she often did needlework or babysat. While married to her first husband, who was in the Army, they were stationed at various locations throughout the United States and Germany.
In the spring of 1999, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Alan Wolf in St. Louis, Missouri and welcomed the addition of step-daughter Rachel and step-son Tom and their families. After raising her daughters she went back to school and received her degree to become a Medical Assistant. In 2013, Kelly with her husband, relocated to Dothan, Alabama where she remained until her passing.
While these are all mere facts about Kelly, they don’t express how her passing will leave a void in so many lives. Although she may have lived in various parts of the world, she was just a phone call away.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters, Alicia (nee Martin) and Danielle (nee Martin) Ledbetter, step-daughter Rachel (nee Wolf) Frank, step-son, Tom Wolf; sisters, Kristin Foster, Rebecca Phillips and Denise Latham and brother, Jonathan Lansdon. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ethan, Kaitye, Collin and Johnny Ross, Devon and June Ledbetter, Joseph, Nicholas and Robert Frank, and Thomas Henry and Abigail Wolf. She also had one great granddaughter, Paisley Renee Sloat.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
