DOTHAN. . .KeNette Folkes Carroll, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday morning, January 13, 2021, at her home. She was 83.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 15, 2021, in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, near Columbia, with Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Highway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Carroll was a lifelong resident of the Smyrna Community in Dothan, daughter of the late Kenneth Folkes and Elma Durden Folkes. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. Mrs. Carroll was retired from SouthTrust Bank in the loan department. She met the love of her life, David A. Carroll, and they were married January 17, 1959. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, LaNelle Murphy.
Surviving relatives include her husband, David A. Carroll; a son, Brian Carroll, Columbia; a brother, Wayne Folkes (Cindy), Dothan; two grandchildren, Tyler Carroll (Kathleen) and Brice Carroll; a great-granddaughter, Katie-Rae Carroll; several nieces and nephews.
