KENNETH NEAL
HEADLAND, ALABAMA. . .Kenneth Neal, a resident of Headland, Alabama,died Saturday morning, June 22, 2013, at his home. He was 86.
Funeral services and burial will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mr. Neal was born and reared in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of the late Alvin Neal and Edith Adams Neal. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Neal retired as a Train Conductor from New York Central (Conrail) in Avon, Indiana. He was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church, the Inverness Masonic Lodge and was a Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Neal was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a former member of the Lions Club in Indianapolis. He lived most of his lifetime in Indianapolis and also lived in Inverness, Florida and on Lake Eufaula before moving to Headland in 2004. Mr. Neal was preceded in death by three brothers, Keith, Burl and Glenn Neal.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Blanche Vawter Neal, Greenwood, Indiana; two daughters, Renee Fuller and husband, Dennis, Mooresville, Indiana; Dr. Nancy Bolt and husband, Richard, Brownsburg, Indiana; two step-daughters, Laura Vawter Trujillo and husband, William, Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Loretta Vawter Schwarzwalder and husband, Neil, Greenwood, Indiana; a step-son, Charles Vawter and wife, Mary, Colorado Springs, Colorado; three brothers, Ralph Neal, Inverness, Florida; Foster Neal, McMinnville, Tennessee; and Edgar Neal, Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Dana Stoltz, Erin Shelton, and Adam Fuller; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and also step-great-grandchildren.
