Kenneth Richard (Dick) Weber, Jr.
Kenneth Richard (Dick) Weber, Jr., age 73 of Dothan, passed away Thursday morning, July 8, 2021 at the Washington County Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Chipley, FL, following an extended illness.
A private funeral service will be held in the Family First Funeral Care chapel with Chaplain John Gormley officiating, with burial to follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery.
Dick was born April 26, 1948 in Dothan to the late Kenneth (Jack) Weber, Sr., and Lawana Morris Weber Craig. He graduated from Dothan High School, class of 1966, and later obtained his Psychology major from Troy State University in 1972. For 25 years he held his A&P license and was an aircraft mechanic, based primarily at Ft. Rucker.
Dick was a very personable individual. He had numerous friends and acquaintances that liked him for his open and sometimes demanding attitude. He was giving to a fault but liked his serenity and was a little bit of a rolling stone. Being a child of the ‘60’s, he had grand ideas about peace and love, but he often fell into some bad traits that caused him trouble with family and friends. Dick had his faults, but he also loved deeply, and was always trying to make amends for any bad decisions he made. He loved and lost, as we all have, but he always came back to really loving his family.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jim Craig. He is survived by a son, Jack Weber of Dothan; a granddaughter, Keely Weber of Dothan; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, David S. and Donna Weber of Gainesville, FL, and Dr. Rick M. and Rhoda Weber of Dothan.
