Kim was born on October 17, 1960, to the late Jay and Rubye Curry Brown. At a very young age Kim began his path as a life-long learner. His passion for knowledge ranged from learning how to play various musical instruments to raising cattle. Kim’s constant pursuit, however, was his love for learning about Christ. He loved the Lord with all his heart and shared that love with everyone he met. Kim’s sense of humor was contagious, and everyone enjoyed his wit. He would make you laugh and make you laugh hard. He loved his family deeply, checked on his friends and never met a stranger– He had a servant’s heart and would do anything for anyone. He was one of the most faithful, selfless, and giving people. His loyalty was uncontested. We will miss his daily talks and questions but will forever be honored to be called his family or friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Rubye Brown and two brothers, Jack and J.R. Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol Brown of Geneva, AL; one daughter, Jaden Brown of Lake Martin, AL; one son, John Mark Johnson (Adra) of Geneva, AL; two grandchildren, John Parker and Ellie Johnson; three sisters, Lillie Smith, Jeanette Smith (Clyde) and Iris Smith (Jerry); several nieces, nephews, great and great-greats.
