Kimberly Dawn Godwin, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on March 6, 1967, to Sue Ellen Ennis Godwin and the late Roy Roney Godwin, Kim’s life was a testament to the power of a joyous spirit.

Kim’s early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, a bond that only grew stronger with time. She was a cherished sister to Joy Brannon and her husband Cleo, Ashley Bass and her husband Ryan, Melody Brannon, Charles Godwin, and Gary Godwin. A former member of the Burns Assembly of God Church, Kim’s faith was a cornerstone of her existence. It was this faith that she carried into all aspects of her life, from the shores of her favorite beaches to the tranquil lakes and campsites she frequented. Her love for the outdoors was only surpassed by her passion for singing, a talent she shared generously with all who had the pleasure to listen.

Her aunt Nez Tharpe, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends, will forever remember Kimberly’s infectious laughter and the way she made each person feel like the most important in the world.
