A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Sunset Memorial Park with Elder Kurt Valley officiating. A memorial will be held at a later date at the Dothan West Congregation Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to jw.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Klemenzia H. Blanchard, a resident of Headland, Alabama passed away at a local hospital following a brief illness on Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was 84 years old.
Klemenzia was born on November 21, 1938 in Romania and moved with her family to the United States in the early 1960’s. She would move around to several states before settling in the Wiregrass Area in 1979 where she has happily resided since. Klemenzia will be remembered affectionately as “Oma” and known for baking delicious bread. She loved being outdoors, taking care of her plants, and making Afghans. Klemenzia was a devoted member of the Dothan West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 44 years. She worked with Kmart Southside until her retirement.
Klemenzia was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Barbara Hagg Hoffart, and by her brothers, Tony Hoffart and Jakob Hoffart
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Brian) Day of Ocala, FL, Anthony (Patricia) Blanchard of Oviedo, FL, Karina (Courtney) Richardson of East Machias, Maine, and Paula (Kenneth) Carpenter of Headland, AL; her grandchildren, Wayne, Christopher, Colby, Shelbie, Caleb, Chase, Brittany, Kevin, Miranda, Chuck, Daniel, Cody, and Benjamin; her twelve great-grandchildren; her siblings, Johannes, Josef, Raphael, Rita, Barbara, Francesca, Norbert, and Benny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
