Kyla Gay Smith, age 57 of Smith’s Station (formerly of Ozark) died Saturday, December 9, 2017  at her home following a brief illness.


 


Funeral Services for Kyla Gay Smith will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Family First Funeral Care Chapel with Rev. David Baker officiating. The family will receive friends in the parlor beginning two hours prior to service time.


 


Kyla was born in Ozark to the late Charles Guy Grantham and Joann Tucker Grantham. She was an LPN for many years before an injury forced her into retirement. Kyla was a woman of many talents. She loved to spend time coloring (even as an adult), listening to Country music, had a green thumb and a way about growing things but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family whom she lovedand they loved her very much.


 


In addition to her parents, Kyla was preceded in death by a sister, Carla Sauls. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith of Smith’s Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Michael Hicks of Dothan; two sons, Christopher Charles Smith and Justin Allen Smith, both of Phoenix City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter, two sisters, one brother and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.


 


Family First Funeral Care of Dothan is in charge of the arrangements of Kyla Gay Smith.
