La-Tonya Michelle Smith, 40 of Dothan passed away Friday March 29, 2013 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aaron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends following the services.

La-Tonya Michelle Smith was born to Mary F. Smith and David L. Brown on January 26, 1973 in Newark, NJ where she lived until the age of 13 before moving to Headland and later to Dothan, Alabama. She was a DEDICATED employee of Jeffers Inc. for 16 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary F. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Mianca Smith, her grandchild Zamarion McCray; two sisters Tawanda and Tara; three brothers Timothy (Misty), Tracy and David (Candice); her nephews and nieces are Ramon, Anthony, Marcus, Tia, Shakira, Quantae, NaQuarious, Dallas, Demetria, Naomi, Alani and Deriyon; her Aunt Elizabeth Smith (J.B.) her cousins Teneeshia Carter (Michael); Aleeshia Fryer, Bernard Bishop (Angie), Malikata Wilder and a host of family, friends and relatives.

Special thanks to the "JEFFERS FAMILY" of Jeffers Inc. and Gentiva Home Health /Hospice Care. Your support was greatly appreciated. Also, thank you to all the friends and family who were apart of her nursing care until God called his "angel" home.
