Larry Dale McDaniel went home Friday, May 8, 2020, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the McDaniel Cemetery at McDaniel Farms on Highway 27, with Rev. Joel Lancaster officiating.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Glenn and LillieVon Hollis McDaniel, brother-in-law, Murray Hardwick and niece, Debra Hardwick Overholt.
Survivors include his brothers, Gary (Pamela) and Joe (Ann) McDaniel; sisters, Betty (Wayne) Warren and Sandra (late Murray) Hardwick, all of Enterprise, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends in the community.
Larry was a 1969 graduate of Enterprise High School and was in the U. S. Army Reserve. He was a member of New Tabernacle Church. He was known for the love of his Lord, where he served many years teaching Sunday School, leading singing and serving as a lay minister when and wherever he was needed.
Larry was part owner and operator of McDaniel Farms where he spent most of his life doing what he loved every day. Larry was known by his family as a kind and giving soul. The “baby” of the family, who no one better mess with. He spent many hours as a surrogate parent to his many nieces and nephews, inspiring them and teaching them. He could always be found around the farm and at family gatherings. People were genuinely drawn to him by his warm and caring nature.
Larry will be greatly missed here on earth, but rejoiced in his heavenly sainthood.
Pallbearers for Larry will be Steve McDaniel, Chris McDaniel, Matt and Darron Warren, Neal Hardwick, Todd Revels, Kevin Rhoades and Luis Sanchez.
