FT. GAINES, GEORGIA. . .Larry (Possum) Hardwick, a resident of Ft. Gaines, Georgia, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 5, 2015. He was 51.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (EST), Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the New Park Cemetery, Ft. Gaines, Georgia, with Reverend Ryan Johnson officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            Larry Hardwick was born and reared in Ft. Gaines where he lived most of his lifetime. He was formerly employed by Anderson Construction Company in Ft. Gaines. He was a member of the Shorterville Baptist Church.

            Surviving relatives include his father, Jerry Hardwick, Ft. Gaines; his mother and step-father, Sandra and Carl Cosby, Abbeville; two brothers, Anthony Hardwick (Kathy), and Robert Hardwick, all of Ft. Gaines; three nephews, Chase, Conner, and Brooks, Hardwick; a great-niece, Jade Hardwick.
