OZARK…Larry R. “Cowboy” Corbin, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday morning, October 18, 2016 at his home. He was 78.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 21, 2016, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jason Miller and Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow in the New Park Cemetery, Ft. Gaines, GA. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
Mr. Corbin was born in Liberty, SC and formerly lived in Punta Gorda, FL, Moultrie, GA, Pickens, SC, Fitzgerald, GA and Ozark before moving to the Echo Community in 1995. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Mr. Corbin retired from Trawick Construction of Chipley, FL. He was preceded in death by his father John Lester Corbin and his mother, Doris Johnson Corbin.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Gloria Sapp Corbin, Ozark; a son, Larry John Corbin (Shelby), Punta Gorda, FL; three step-children, Jennie Beasley, Ohio; James Beasley, Ashford; Luther Beasley, Abbeville; a step-sister, Rhebia Raines, Echo Community; two brothers, Jerry Corbin (Sue), Sales City, GA; Randall Corbin (Gay), Jacksonville, FL; his step-brothers, Wayne Johns (Charlotte), Jacksonville, FL; Jimmy Corbin; three grandchildren, Kanin Corbin, Jordan Corbin, and Steven Brooks; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
