Lavounia Mock Rainey Andrews, of Newton, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Westside Terrace. She was 75.

Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Wendell Mock and Rev. Ricky Martin officiating. The family will receive friends 2:30-3:30 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Andrews was born October 10, 1942 in Coffee County Alabama and lived in Enterprise the earlier years of her life. She received her nursing degree and was employed with Southeast Alabama Medical Center for over 20 years until her retirement. Mrs. Andrews resided in Dothan for the past 35 years and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed cooking, especially cooking pound cake for her family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Charles (Mischelle) Andrews and Christopher (Teresa) Andrews; her 2 grandchildren, Reah Lynn Andrews and Alexander Charles Andrews; her great-grandchild, Makaila Thompson; her brother, Wendall (Kim) Mock; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
