Lawson Howard, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham. He was 6.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Willis and Rev. Tim Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Alabama, 4217 Dolly Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35243.

Lawson was born on July 1, 2008 in Dothan. He was a first grader and attended Hidden Lake Elementary School. Lawson also attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Matthew and Kathy Howard; his brother, Robert (Amanda) Bouchard; his grandparents, Barbara Bales, Dewey and Nancy Howard, and Richard and Shirley Smith; his aunts and uncles, Brian and Andrea Parker, Heath and Vickie Smith, John and Amie Thompson, Kenny and Lisa Barnes, and Josh and Jenna Howard; and his niece, Tenley Bouchard.
