L.C. Thomas

L. C. Thomas, a resident of Dothan, passed away January 1, 2021 at a local hospital. He was 87.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Matt Sasser officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

L. C. was born on August 23, 1933 to the late David and Pearla Thomas. He served the United States military honorably for seven years. During his time in the service, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart award. Following his time in the service, he became the owner and operator of Advance Pest Control Services in Orlando, Florida for 33 years. L.C. later became the owner of a real estate business. After his retirement, he went back to Louisville, Alabama to help operate the family farm. In his past time, L.C. enjoyed wood working and arts and crafts. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

L.C was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sylvia Thomas; his sister, Barbra Walls; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
