Clio....... Mrs. Leila (Beacham) Baker was born on April 10, 1952 to the late Albert & Irene McInnis Beacham. She was the fourth of six children. Anyone that knows her knew she was a spunky and outspoken woman. She also had a big smile and laughter that was truly contagious. She graduated Clio Public High School in Clio, Alabama. Shortly after graduation she moved to New Jersey where she lived for several years. In later years, she returned to her hometown in Clio, Alabama.
She was employed at Van Heusen in Clio and Ozark, Alabama. Where she provided well for her children until her health no longer allowed her to work. She was a strong willed, dedicated, single mother of two who made the job look easy. She was loved and respected by many. She was a cancer survivor who received her care from Covenant Hospice in Dothan, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish sweet memories two children; one son Sean (Ronniesha Oliver) Craig of Clio, AL and one daughter Cassandra Baker of Ozark, AL. Four brothers; Raymond Beacham of Duster, Al, John (Ehtel) Beacham of Clio, AL, Clarence (deceased) (Josephine) Beacham of Ozark, AL, Royal Beacham of Clio, AL. One sister: Lillian (Bobby) Daniels of Clio, AL. Three Grandchildren: Tatiyana Knight, Shontavia Craig, Kynlee’ Baker. Nephews and Nieces: Anthony (Ruthie) Beacham of Clio, AL, Marcus (Freda) Beacham of Ozark, AL, Lewis Beacham of Clio, AL, Randy Bottoms of Virginia, Larisa Bottoms (Adrian Mason) of Virginia, Jaquetta Beacham of Ozark, AL. Great Nieces and Nephews: Messiah Mason, Zaria Mason, Ahmaad Mason, all of Virginia, Jakera Beacham of Ozark, AL., Barbara White and Judy May Boswell and other relatives and friends. A special cousin: Christen Tonifarah East Orange, NJ. A special friend: Diane Howard Hillside, NJ Thank you also to Covenant Hospice, Dothan, AL.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6th, from 5pm until 7pm at Newman Mortuary, 114 Harper Drive Ozark, AL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7th, at 2pm at Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, AL.
