Lela Everett of Enterprise passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014.  She was 79.


A memorial will be held Saturday, June 21st at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2pm.


Lela was born April 2, 1935 in Elba Alabama, to the late McDonald and Lillie McBride. After an extensive study of the bible, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1973. Her joy was serving Jehovah, and helping others learn about him.


 



She was preceded in death by her son, Ronny Warren of Washington D.C.; four brothers:  O'neil McBride, Joseph McBride, James McBride and McDonald McBride; and two sisters: Amanda Tillis, and Berta Mae Caldwell.



 


Survivors include her husband, James Everett; two daughters: Linda Warren, and Janice White both of Enterprise; four grandchildren: Troy, Jasmine, and Jada White of Enterprise, and Kelvon Warren of New Jersey; one sister, Mary Tyson of Tampa Florida; one step sister, Olene Barry of Enterprise; one step brother, Hayward Pervis of New York; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
