Lena Geraldine Beacham, 77, of Dothan passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home . Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beacham was born March 29, 1934 in Henry County and lived the early part of her life in Shorterville, AL. She married Raymond Beacham March 7, 1969 and resided in Dothan for over 40 years as a homemaker. She was baptized at New Salem Baptist Church in Shorterville and moved her membership to North Highland in Dothan. She loved to cook and care for everyone's children and grandchildren, especially her own.

Survivors include her daughter Pamela Critten of Dothan; 2 grandchildren, Anya (Darrell) Johnson, and Shannon Critten; 1 great-grandchild Briana Johnson; sisters, Lillie Williams of Hollywood, FL, Pearlander Coleman of Birmingham, AL, Essie B. Hill of Abbeville, AL, Susie Graham of Shorterville, AL, Minerva Graham of Shorterville, AL, and Minnie Farmer of Dothan; a sister-in-law Rosa Skipper; 2 brothers-in-law, Rev. David Beacham, and A. Beacham; a host of nieces and nephews also survives.
