DOTHAN. . .Leon Hinson, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday night, August 6, 2019, at his home. He was 75.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2019, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Elder Marcus Petty officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.
Leon Hinson was born in Houston County and was reared in the Grangerburg area. He lived in Headland before moving to Dothan in 2015. Leon was retired as the co-owner and operator of Diann’s Florist in Headland. In earlier years, he was active in Dixie Youth Baseball in Dothan and Dixie Boys Baseball in Headland. Leon was a member of the Antioch Assembly of God Church in Grangerburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diann Brannon Hinson and two sisters, Inez Brown and Nellie Pearl Harrison.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Keith Hinson, Lexington Park, MD and Frank Williams (Rebecca), Dothan; a daughter, Charlene Williams Reiser (Mike), Dothan; five grandchildren, Brittany Sanders (Brian), Krysten Reiser, Casey Hinson, Cydnie Hinson and Cera Hinson; two great-grandchildren, Rachel Sanders and Macie Sanders.
