HEADLAND…Leonard C. Hardin, a resident of Headland, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. He was 80.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 9, 2019, in Gardens of Memory with Chaplain Tim Stevenson officiating with entombment to follow. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the mortuary chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Dothan Chapter 87, P.O. Box 6863, Dothan, AL 36302, or the Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302.
Our loving husband, father, granddaddy and great-granddaddy, Leonard C. Hardin, was born in Ft. Benning, Georgia. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1957 and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Hardin was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph R. Hardin and Eddie Mae Uptagrafft Hardin.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 48 years, Mary Sue Bradley Hardin; his daughter, Sue Hardin Harrell (Brad), Dothan; two sons, Dale Hardin, Defuniak Springs, FL, and Tommy Joe Thomas, Jr. (Tanya), Dothan; six grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Sydny Linton (Cody), Bobby Strickland, Jr., Danielle Hudson (Carolanne), Hannah Harrell and Emily Harrell; five great-grandchildren and his special canine friend, Lacey.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Cody Linton, Bobby Strickland, Jr., Matt Thomas, Michael Shawn Porter, Keith LeGrand and Tommy Joe Thomas, Jr.
