Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Brother Cliff Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at Sunset Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.








Leslie Howard Fields, Jr., a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 after a brief illness at his residence. He was 75 years of age.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Brother Cliff Morrison officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at Sunset Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.


Howard was born on March 31, 1947 in Kentucky to the late Leslie and Betty Fields, Sr. He graduated from Hardin County High School. Following high school, Howard served in the United States Army. Howard moved to Dothan, AL in 1968. He attended Wallace Community College and earned a degree in computer science. Howard had a long successful career in the trucking industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and fixing anything and everything. Howard was an active member of Bay Springs Baptist Church.


He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa Fields; children, Tom Fields, Michael (Denise) Fields, Kristi (Ryan) Moorman, Tracy (Holly) Driskell and Natalie Daughtry; grandchildren, Chasity (Brad) Winborne, Zoey (Michael) Gonzales, Jadyn Fields, Ella Grey Fields, Marli Kate Moorman, Maggi Taylor Moorman, Kristen (Jonathan) Rowan, Kylie Barnes, Kelcie Barnes, Sterling Barnes, Gracie Driskell, Levi Driskell, Michael Driskell, Jackson Daughtry, Jeremiah Daughtry and Jasmine Daughtry; great grandchildren, Ryder Adams, Layton Winborne, Ellie Winborne and Addyson Rowan; sisters, Katherine (Phillip) Williams, Brenda (Chuck) Wells, Diane Lay, Mary Goodman and Ronda (Stan) Tew; special nieces and nephews, Madison Tew, Clay Tew, Chris Williams and Robin Resenbeck along with numerous nieces and nephews; mother and father in law, Ron and Wanda Hendrickson; and a host of extended family and friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be Sterling Barnes, Jackson Daughtry, Jeremiah Daughtry, Clay Tew, Chris Williams and Brad Winborne.
