A celebration of his life will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Allen Leach officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 am to noon.

Levin Ted Yeomans, age 88, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 surrounded by his three children.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Allen Leach officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 am to noon. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to DaySpring Hospice & Palliative Care.
Ted was born on June 24, 1934 to the late Levin Boyd Yeomans and Myrtle Melissa Thomas Yeomans. He was raised in Midland City, AL and graduated from Midland City High School.
Ted met and later married Melba Jean White Yeomans on December 25th, 1954. They would begin their married life in New Mexico due to Ted’s service in the Army. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Ted worked with Kress and moved to several states before returning to Alabama. He then joined the Army National Guard and served for many years. He spent years farming and building homes.
He is a graduate of Troy University and Auburn University with a teaching degree; he taught at Dothan Vocational Center from which he retired. Ted taught masonry, reading, writing, cabinet making, and lead the VICA program for several years. He loved spending time with his church, family, farming, building, and other interests.
Ted is proceeded in death by his wife of 67 years, parents and 2 brothers.
Survivors include Becky Yeomans of Midland City, AL, Wanda Hughes (Randy) of Ashford, AL, and Bobby Yeomans (Suzie) of Carrollton, GA; his six grandchildren, Tommy Ammons (Monica), Clay Stanhope, Amber Harrison (Brandon), Haley Killebrew (Kenton), Tabitha Yeomans, Levin Yeomans; and his seven great-grandchildren; three siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Mahogany McClain, Lauren McKenzie Shiver and others for assisting the family with the care of Mr. Ted. The family would also like to thank DaySpring Hospice & Palliative Care for the compassion shown to their father during their time of need.
