Lillian Clara Ellison, a resident of Dothan, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was 83.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park with Bro. Rick Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Lil was born on January 13, 1937 to the late Gordon J. Johnson and Alice Townsend. She was a dedicated military wife, raising three children at home. Lil was a member of Memphis Baptist Church. She spent many years volunteering at Flowers Hospital. Lil also volunteered at different bases during her husband’s 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. She loved to play the piano and even gave lessons to others for 20 years. Lil was a giving person and a very selfless individual. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert W. Ellison, Jr.; one sister, Gordean Hunn; three children, Terri (Ernie) Jones, Wayne (Connie) Ellison, and Dianne Ellison; five grandchildren, Derrick (Sarah) Jones, Jason (Jessie) Jones, Alyse (Mitch) Murkerson, Dan (Ellie) Ellison, and Doug Ellison; and eight great-grandchildren.
