Lillian Dumas, 85, a resident of Dothan, passed away on June 7, 2012 in Enterprise.

Funeral services will be held on 2 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until 2pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.

Mrs. Dumas was born on May 23, 1927 in Marianna, Florida and she resided the early years of her life in New Brockton. Mrs. Dumas lived in Dothan most of her life and she was employed in the banking industry until her retirement 1995. Following her retirement she was later employed with Houston Paper Company for three years. Mrs. Dumas was a member of First Baptist Church of Dothan.

Mrs. Dumas was preceded in death by her husband, Glin Dumas, and by her son, Ed Hampton Dumas.

Survivors include her brother, Denard Swann of Enterprise, AL; her sister, Mary E. Russell also of Enterprise, AL; several nieces and nephews.
