Linda Faye Wakefield of Hartford, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was 71 years old.

She was born on December 11, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harace and Frances Kennedy; husband, William “Bill” Wakefield; and sister, Wanda Knopp.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. William D. Tingle officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Slocomb, Alabama under the direction of Shelby Lett of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m until service time.

Survivors include her children, Neal Mitchem (Martha) of Slocomb, Sonja Crowell of Hartford, Tony Dean (Tracey) of Mobile, Jay Dean (Stephanie) of Ashford, and Crystal Kelly (Allen) of Pansey; grandchildren, Cody Mitchem (Melissa), Kasie Mitchem, Colten Mitchem, Tylor Mitchem (John), Erin Blankenship (Alex), Destiny Mashburn (Zach), Toni Dean, Jayden Dean, Jace Dean, Brent Kelly, Zander Kelly (Isabelle); great grandchildren, Ryker Mitchem, Blaine Mitchem, Willow Mitchem, William Blankenship, Easton Mashburn, Hudson Mashburn, Isabella Nunez, Logan Kelly, Nicole Kelly, Ryker Kelly; siblings, Penny Gilley, Jeffery Kennedy, Elaine (Billy) Tingle, Gloria Mitchell, Janice (Hershell) Lewis, and Mary (James) Martin; along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Cody Mitchem, Colten Mitchem, Tylor Mitchem, Zach Mashburn, Jace Dean, Brent Kelly.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ryker Mitchem, Blaine Mitchem, William Blankenship, Easton Mashburn, Hudson Mashburn, Logan Kelly, Ryker Kelly.
